Riad Trois Cours

In April 2000 we fell in love with Marrakech. Why? Love is not easy to explain in rational phrasing but these are some of the conditions we fell for: sweet and very hospitable people, pleasant climate, exciting cuisine, flabbergasting architecture too beautiful to be real; almost like stepping into Sherazade’s fairy tales of thousandandone night; the lively craftmansship that enables you to have beautiful things made which are unheard of these days in the western world. The surroundings of Marrakech are stunning, after one hour driving you are in the snowy Atlas mountains, two hours driving from the sea and beaches and in a couple of hours you are in a desert area. Our house, Riad Trois Cours, became for us a tribute to all these wonderful things, which we decided not to keep just for ourselves.
